When going on college visits, must you bring a parent/guardian?

Or would it be okay if a group of friends went together? I’m guessing parents would be best, even if it was okay to go by yourself, just so they can feel it out as well and to ask questions.

No, you don’t need a parent to come. But call ahead and make sure they’re giving tours when you want to show up (not all colleges give them every day) and it might be an option to stay overnight in the dorms if you ask.

    parents don’t have to accompany you, however at you may want them to attend if they will support (financially, emotionally, etc.) while you are in college. you want to involved them as much as possible so they understand what you are planning to do..

    maybe you can do two college visits…that way you can see the school more than once from a different perspective, especially if it is one of your top schools

    You should bring a parent or guardian or at least someone with more experience and has been to college. Just so they can ask about things a college student values in a school.

    To go on a campus tour you need to set it up about 2 weeks ahead of time. We would set up a meeting with admissions and a professor from her intended major. Would you really get anything done going with friends. really check outing the college? You don’t have to have a parent with you
